movie recommendations (filmsister)

Image
Since a lot of you liked the book recommendations I'm here to tell you about my fav movies, I have a letterbox by the way if you want to check it out: hiholahello. I love cinema so I'll probably do another one of this very with another 4 movies very soon.  1. No is yes : A short film about two goth teenagers who met their fav musician ever. They see themselves surrounded by sex, drugs and death. All the characters are fucking amazing, everyone has a special touch and style. The best thing of the movie is the style, contrasts from sad and dark streets at night from colorful and psychedelic scenes, when I say this movie is visually insane I mean visually INSANE . It has a beautiful angel frame (if you watched the movie you know what I'm talking about) just watch it you won't regret. It's a little hard to find but if you go into the letterbox reviews of this movie you will find the link to watch it full online and free. link: vimeo.com/80128793, it didn...

an hipersexualisized society and how it affects us

Image
Lately i been hearing a lot of teenagers boys talking about masturbation and their sexual life openly in school, in some cases even asking girls about them without thinking that they may not feel confortable talking about that. This scenario would never been posible  not a long time ago. So I wanted to talk today about how sex is seen in the actuality. Sexuality has always been a important part on our society but it's easy to notice that lately, this past years, it has gotten a different perception and it's way more present and explicit in our everyday life. To understand this change of perception and be able to take a conclusion we are gonna go back to the 60s for a minute. "The sexual revolution" or "The sexual liberation" it's a movement born in the 60s that will reach its maximum point during the 70s-80s. The sexual revolution fighted for the normalisation of nudity, the sexual education at schools, the investigation of sexual diseases and challenged...

living and doing great at school (without dying)

The other day someone asked how do I have time to read with school and everything, and I think it's a very good topic, so I'll try to talk about it. Feeling down in school is totally normal, I had a lot of exams a couple of weeks ago and I was very tired and felt overwhelmed, but you can do really nothing about you have to keep going and do the better you can. Responding to the question, I have to admit I don't read as much as I would like to. Most of schools assignments are related to writing and reading so after finishing, you really don't want to open a book and read again, the easiest thing to do after a long day is probably open tiktok and just scroll without thinking, and thinking of this I realised my main problem is organisation and screen time. So I'll be putting ideas here to try to be more productive and the tips that work better on me as a 10/10 student :) 1. Notebooks. I think the best way of organising is probably an agenda, I am not the best person to...

some book recomendations

Image
Hi! This isn't what i usually do on here but i want to do some book recomendations, specifically i'll try to talk about books that aren't very popular in social media, for example i wont put Jane Austen or Óscar Wilde in the list, incredibly talented authors but you probably know them already so i'll try to talk about not as famous books so this list can be helpful for someone :) 1."The Roulette Player"-Mircea Cartarescu. This is a short story about a writer that talks about his expirience playing the russian roulette (during the URSS), specially he tells us about "the roulette player" a misterious and dangerous man. I think is the best option to start readen Cartarescu. With a beautiful writing style, like many other sovietic authors of his time he has influences of the 50s american literature (like "Lolita" from Nabokov for example) a very nilhistic touch that you would love and overall and incredible book, in my opinion an esencial for u...

people don't think anymore

The other day my school went on a excursion to a short film festival. We watched some experimental European movies about sexism, mental health, traumatic experiences... I was sitting next to my friends and was surprised by one of them saying "This movie is so weird, I didn't understand anything, I didn't liked" That caught me off-guard, I wasn't expecting a comment like that because even if it was a deep film and a nontraditional narration style it wasn't very metaphoric but very literal and self-explanatory, so I started explaining the story to her but she cut me fast and told me she was sure that the movie was bad and "didn't have any sense". After that all the students/viewers had a debate about the topics and the films, a lot of people gave really good analysis and conclusions about the movies but even after that she didn't change her mind. She wasn't even trying to understand and was talking about how she prefered movies like "...

a letter for loners: life doesn't reach your expectations

Image
You probably have grown up in front of your television, watching your favourite childhood shows that you remember now with nostalgia. Shows where teenagers party all day, hangout with their friends, dress cool and travel around the world. Shows with cool high school with lots of clubs, nice people and lots of fun. If you were shy as a kid, an introvert or had strict parents, you probably spent your free time playing alone in your room, fantasizing about the day you become a teenager and start living adventures. "Teenage years will be the best time of your life!" You were so excited to go shopping with friends, you thought that when you reached 16 you will become the prettiest girl in the world, you wanted to experience teenage love, don't you remember? Sadly little you probably never saw their dream come true. Reality sometimes hurts. Maybe now you don't have a big friend group like you used to think you would as a kid, maybe you just have a couple of friends who you ...

you dont have a personality

Capitalism and fast fashion are trendy right now.  If you are into tiktok or any form of social media you probably have seen a lot of people saying or commenting stuff like "What are the cool girls wearing this autumn?" "What shoes are we wearing this year?" And I'll you can think when reading this is: "Why don't they think for their selves and decide what to wear?" Micro trends and fast fashion are getting stronger than ever. In case you don't know what this is "microtrend" refers to when some piece of clothes get extremely popular but stops being used in a very short spawn of time, for example bows were considered coquette and aesthetic for two months and everyone had a hoodie or hair clip with a bow on it, but someone decided they aren't cool anymore so people stopped wearing them and probably to the end of this year everyone will be like "yes bows are so cringe omg I don't know why we wore them" or something lik...
